Overview

A research system that studies live market data, evaluates strategies, and sends every proposed action through a deterministic risk gate that passes or blocks it. Everything runs in SHADOW mode — recorded, never executed.

Why it exists

Automated trading fails in boring ways: duplicate orders, stale data, a crash mid-position.

Coin Lab studies strategies under SHADOW mode so those failures can be found while nothing real is at stake.

How it works

Public Binance spot market data feeds a 4-hour strategy — for example, an SMA trend cross. A signal never becomes an order directly: it must pass a deterministic risk gate and kill switch first.

What passes becomes an order intent, which the SHADOW ledger fills virtually — tracking positions and reconciling state. AI never holds order authority.

Practical applications
