Overview
A personal workspace where several AI models think side by side. In Chat you talk with one; in Duo, two compare notes; in Council, a designer model and a critic model work through set rounds, then hand the result back for your review. Conversations and project context stay on your own machine.
Why it exists
Most AI conversations live inside someone else's app. The thinking you do there is hard to keep, hard to search, and impossible to move.
Sereaniel exists so the work stays with the person doing it — and so one answer is never the only answer you see.
How it works
You open a project and pick a mode. Chat talks with one model. Duo puts two models side by side on the same prompt. Council runs a designer model and a critic model over a set number of rounds (for example 2R), and ends with a clear marker: user review required.
Every conversation and project is written to the local machine. The interface says so plainly: records stay on this PC.
Core capabilities
Chat
One model, one conversation — the simple, fast path.
Duo
Two models answer the same prompt side by side, so differences are visible at a glance.
Council
A designer proposes, a critic reviews, over N rounds. The final step hands the decision back to you.
Local projects
Projects and conversations are kept on the user's own PC, organised by project.
Attachments
Images and files can be attached to a conversation, within size limits.
Project search
Search within a project to find earlier conversations again.
Technical approach
- 01Your prompt
- 02Mode: Chat · Duo · Council
- 03Model responses
- 04Designer ↔ Critic rounds
- 05User review
- 06Saved locally
Practical applications
- Comparing two models' answers before trusting either.
- Drafting and reviewing designs or plans with a built-in critic pass.
- Keeping long-running project conversations in one searchable, local place.
Development journey
- Started as a single local chat window (a v1.2.0 local chat build is in use).
- Grew Duo for side-by-side comparison, then Council for structured designer/critic rounds.
- Next stage: connecting to SeraLab as an external memory layer.
Current status & limitations
Implemented
- Chat, Duo and Council modes
- Local storage of projects and conversations
- Image and file attachments (with size limits)
- Search within a project
Planned / not yet active
- SeraLab memory integration (planned / in progress)
Multi-model debate supports comparison and review — it does not guarantee accuracy. Models can share the same mistakes, which is why Council ends with your review, not a verdict. Sereaniel is a private local build, not a public service.
Future direction
- Recall from SeraLab memory with visible sources.
- Clearer side-by-side diff of model answers.
- Keep everything local by default as features grow.
